As students return to classrooms following the Christmas break today, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation is getting ready to continue its rotating strikes on Wednesday.
But, this week it will not impact the Bluewater District School Board.
According to a statement put out by the OSSTF, nine different boards across the province will take part in a full withdrawal of services on Wednesday.
The Bluewater District School Board is not one of them.
Some teachers in the region may still participate in information pickets in front of MPPs offices or schools, however.
Negotiations have been ongoing for eight months between the teachers' union and provincial government.
Issues like oversized classes, mandatory e-learning and a below inflation level wage increase have been vocalized by teachers as sticking points in collective bargaining.
