West Grey Police have arrested a 19 year old local woman after a confrontation over a mailbox got out of control.
Police say it started when the homeowners allegedly caught her damaging their mailbox on Baseline Road.
One of the homeowners tried to keep her at the scene while waiting for police by standing in front of her vehicle, but she reportedly drove into him causing him to land on the hood of the vehicle.
Police say she then drove off at a high speed with the man on still on the hood.
Officers say she eventually brought her vehicle to a stop and the man was able to get off without injury.
Police arrested and charged her on Thursday with one count of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Police have not named the woman. She has a court date January 8th in Walkerton.
