We’ve got hockey action tonight….and tomorrow morning.
Tonight in Shallow Lake it’s the deciding game in the opening round of the WOAA Senior ” A ” playoffs between the Lucknow Lancers and the Crushers.
Shallow Lake won the opener 5-3 Friday night at home, but the Lancers bounced back to win Game 2 by a 3-1 count.
All of which sets up the deciding match tonight at 8:30 pm at the Shallow Lake & District Community Centre.
Meanwhile, tomorrow MORNING, the Owen Sound Attack hit the ice for a 10:30 am start in Hamilton against the Bulldogs.
This is a school day promotion and thus the early start on the clock.
The clock is running on the Ontario Hockey League season- here’s some numbers;
– The Attack are 5th in the Western Conference at 68 points.
– the magic number to clinch a playoff spot is 7 & 1/2.
– Owen Sound has 19 games remaining.
– 6 of the next 8 for the Attack are on the road.
& looking at the breakdown of the final 19 games, Owen Sound plays 4 games against teams higher in the Western Conference standings, 8 games against team underneath them in the standings and SEVEN against the Eastern Conference, 6 of which are on the road.
