We’re heading into the Labour Day Weekend which in many minds is the LAST weekend of Summer.
That image certainly gets assisted when you supplement it with the level of hockey news floating around.
The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League have a Red & White game tonight at 6 pm which will be followed by home exhibition games Sunday afternoon against Barrie and Monday afternoon against Oshawa.
Meanwhile, the Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group has sent us a couple of key reminders, notices that carry a little more urgency this year with the shift to Local League competition in place of the House League program.
First, with the relatively late confirmation of Local League, the Minor Hockey Group has waved the Late Registration fee, that is, there’s no additional fee if you sign up now.
The caveat though is that Owen Sound Minor Hockey needs to have their final numbers in next week to inform the WOAA about the level of participation in Local League, therefore, the deadline for registration this year is September 5th…just one long weekend away
