The Owen Sound Men’s Fastball League Playoff tournament continues tonight at Duncan McLellan Park.
Six teams remain in contention for the title but 4 of those teams will face elimination this evening.
The elimination games at 7 pm will pit the Keady Jets against the Shallow Lake McComb Sawmill Sting and the Williamsford Woodsmen against the Chatsworth Yellow Jackets.
The losers of those games will be eliminated.
The winners of those two games will stay at Duncan McLellan Park and face each other in another elimination game at 8:30 pm tonight.
Also at 8:30 tonight, the undefeated game will pit the Allenford Astros against Harold Sutherland Construction.
The Astros and Sutherlands have advanced to the the 2 & 0 game in dramatically different fashion.
The Astros won a wild, if not sloppy, 9-8 extra inning game over Williamsford to get to their showdown against HSC.
By comparison, the Construction crew has been riding some tidy pitching performances and got to the undefeated game by winning two low scoring affairs.
