In light of the decision by Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group to discontinue the House League program, the executive and I branched into a side topic.
Once upon a time, Minor Hockey Registration was done in person. You showed up, you signed up and you paid up.
If you had an issue, a concern, a comment, you could address it face to face with the people involved.
In recent times, Minor Hockey registration has been done on-line. Click-click-that’s it……. No interaction whatsoever.
Is the Internet responsible for the decline in Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group’s registration or the teetering fate of the House League program ?
No.
But there’s something to be said for personal interaction and problem solving face to face.
