Hi this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by your local Auto Logic….the Logical Choice.
A year of planning and preparation comes to life tomorrow when the Canadian Broomball Championship Tournament commences in Owen Sound.
The 2016 National Championship Tournament will feature 17 teams in 3 different divisions; Men’s, Women’s and Co-Ed, competing for the Canadian crown at both the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre and at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre
Play starts early tomorrow with the first game at 8 am at the Bayshore while the first game at the Rec Centre commences just after 9 am
The neat thing about the size of the tournament is that everybody plays a true round robin which means every team in every division meets every counterpart from their division to determine who advances to the playoff round Friday afternoon and Saturday.
The teams to watch locally are the Kilsyth Phantoms in the Men’s Division and the ” Heads or Tails ” entry in Co-Ed
Heads or Tails will play at 10:10 am and 3:10 pm at the Bayshore tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Phantoms also play twice, first at 3:05 at the Rec Centre and then at 8 pm at the Bayshore following the Opening Ceremonies tomorrow night
A year of planning leads to a great week starting tomorrow in Owen Sound with the 2016 National Broomball Championships.
I’m Fred Wallace
