Another Friday night and another steep challenge for the local Junior Hockey teams in our area.
Seven days ago we related both the Owen Sound Attack and the Kincardine Bulldogs were significant underdogs in their respective playoff series, and truthfully it’s played out almost exactly as forecast.
First the Attack; they’ve played hard and for the most part they’ve played well, but the London Knights are an elite squad, so any miscue, any momentary lapse, ( and there have been too many ) is a potential disaster and as such, Owen Sound finds themselves trailing the series going to Game 5 tonight…..in London
In the last 22 trips to London, the Attack have won twice, so again, the odds are against them.
Meanwhile, at the Davidson Centre tonight, the Kincardine Bulldogs will try and prolong their Junior C Quarterfinal with Alliston.
Alliston has defeated the Western Conference Champion in 7 straight playoff meetings and nearly made it 8 for 8 when they caved on a 2-0 lead Wednesday at home.
Tonight, the Bulldogs are at home at 8:30 hoping to post a second victory in the series and send the affair to Game 6 tomorrow night in Alliston.
Tall orders for both the Attack and Bulldogs again this Friday night.
