Hi this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by your local Auto Logic….The Logical Choice.
In life there’s a balance, sometimes an unfortunate balance, but a balance nonetheless.
The neat aspect of this time of the year is the heavy volume of High School sports.
In recent days either a Bluewater Championship or a CWOSSA qualifier or competition has been conducted.
For example, the OSCVI Falcons are hosting the CWOSSA Girls Volleyball playdowns today and the CWOSSA Boys basketball event on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the city of Owen Sound will be the site for CWOSSA Hockey at midweek.
Outside of the city and region, 4 high school curling rinks, including both the Girls and Boys from Saugeen District, are at the CWOSSA Championships in Brantford today.
Plus, a number of Bluewater swimmers competed last week in Baden at the CWOSSA Swim meet and earned a berth at OFSAA next month in Windsor.
OFSAA Nordic is also this week being hosted in the region at Highlands Nordic.
That’s all good in my view, the more active the student body is, the better the school is.
The unfortunate aspect, or the counter balance, is that there’s really not nearly enough time or space to properly spotlight these activities.
Carry on…..
I’m Fred Wallace
