Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” brought to you by Auto Logic, the Logical Choice.
This is a great time of the year.
The Blue Jays have wrapped up a division title and finish up the regular season this weekend in Tampa Bay with the playoffs to follow.
There was both CFL and NFL action last night.
Ottawa beat Montreal in the CFL, while Baltimore won the NFL game in overtime over Pittsburgh.
In high school sports, the CWOSSA Golf Championships wrapped up yesterday at Saugeen Golf Club, plus the Saugeen District Royals won the Bluewater Tennis Championship at Southampton.
In hockey, the NHL is just days away, and tomorrow night, the Owen Sound Attack shoot for a franchise record 4th straight win to start the Ontario Hockey League season when they host Sault Ste Marie.
And in Meaford, they’re celebrating sport with the Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival tonight.
We’ll see you in the parade and at the pavilion tonight.
And then tomorrow, the 5th annual Coyote race with more than 400 kids expected to compete will be staged at Georgian Bay Secondary School
Have a great weekend.
I’m Fred Wallace
