I’m a little in advance here, but the 5th annual Meaford Coyotes Cross Country Race is coming up Saturday October 3rd.
Factoring into the early notice here is the desire and need for parents to step up and take the lead.
The Elementary School teachers dispute drags on, and as a result a number of neat school outings- Arran-Tara Fair and all kinds of cross country meets- have either been altered, wiped out or are in jeopardy of being bypassed in the short term.
It’s unfortunate, but we’ll leave the school issue for another day.
Today, the need is for athletes and/or parents of the athletes to be the leaders and register for the competition in advance and make the arrangements to get to Georgian Bay Secondary School and participate.
The Coyote Race has evolved nicely in quick order and could one day max out around 400 participants.
I doubt it will happen this year, but the hope is the Coyotes web site, www.meafordcoyotes.com will be active with visitors registering for the 5th annual meet October 3rd.
