There are 8 games to be played this week in what is the final week of the Ontario Senior Lacrosse regular season.
The Owen Sound NorthStars will be involved in a quarter of those 8 remaining games, playing their final two games of the season Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at Ennismore against the James Gang.
As the day begins, Owen Sound is sitting 4th in the standings with a record of 7 wins, 6 losses and a tie.
The Senior NorthStars can’t finish first or second, but they could finish 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th depending on how the final 8 games shake down.
From the NorthStars perspective, they can’t do anything about the 6 games they’re not involved in, all they can do is take care of business in Ennismore this weekend.
And, after a very successful 3 game home stand, everyone believes they’re capable of doing just that.
In a span of 2 weekends on home floor, the NorthStars have tied first place St Catharines and defeated second place Six Nations.
If they have similar success at Ennismore against the James Gang who are 6th…then the NorthStars could hit the playoffs as the # 3 seed with all kinds of momentum.
