There’s a big birthday party this afternoon for my buddy, Ethan and then fireworks at Leith- you can’t beat that.
Meanwhile tomorrow, among the festivities will be the first annual Cobble Beach Invitational Golf Tournament.
The response to the opening thrust in this initiative has been very good, and why not ?
There will be 3 flights of competitors plus breakfast and a steak & salmon barbeque
Most impressive is a prize table estimated by the organizers to be in the range of $ 10,000. That’s attractive.
Cobble Beach Pro Warren Thomas relates that if the conditions are good tomorrow, based on the calibre of players that have signed up, the winning score could be around par, or just under.
The overall goal for the organizers is to get off the ground successfully this year and then grow the event to a max of 96 players, all of whom will meet a definite set of playing criteria in order to be eligible.
Whether it’s a Leith, Cobble Beach, Sauble Beach or at Kelso Beach Park, Happy Canada Day.
