Hi this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “, brought to you by Auto Logic…..the Logical Choice !
The Guelph Storm took Game 3 of the Ontario Hockey League Western Conference Quarterfinal with a 2-1 win in Owen Sound last night.
To the credit of the Storm, they made the most of very little.
Only 4 players have accounted for the 8 Guelph goals in the series. and yet they lead it 2 games to 1.
Of note, Tyler Bertuzzi has half of those 8 goals.
For what it’s worth, the Storm have been outshot in the last 2 games by a decent margin and yet have won both of those contests which is a tribute in part to their goalie Justin Nichols and their team defence.
And speaking historically, Guelph has lost just once outright in their last 12 trips to the Bayshore dating back to November of 2012.
All of this must change tonight with Game 4 back at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore.
The Attack have to start better, compete harder, function on the power play, be wary of the top Guelph players and take advantage of the support players, otherwise a 4 game win streak coming to the playoffs may swing and be a 4 game losing streak out of the playoffs
Game time tonight for Game 4 is 7 pm at the JD McArthur Arena
I’m Fred Wallace
