Hi this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “, brought to you by Auto Logic…..the Logical Choice !
Here we go with a bunch of stuff to kick off the week…..
First, the Attack-Storm series is tied at 1 win apiece after the Attack won the opener 6-1 Friday and Guelph tied it last night with a 5-4 overtime win on Chris Marchese’s game winner.
Game 3 is tomorrow night at 7 pm at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre, followed by another game in Owen Sound on Wednesday night.
With the Attack, they’ve spent the last two weekends in the United States examining prospects; which is interesting, because with two first rounders in the Priority Selection, I highly doubt they’ll use one of those picks on an American.
Elsewhere; had a great conversation with Karen Van Nest of Wiarton last week.
Karen is an archer preparing for the Para PanAmerican Games this Summer in Ontario.
Her competition isn’t until August 9th, but target practice, pilates & other aspects of competition are being addressed on a daily basis.
And finally, one quick note my friends at the 6th annual Bayshore Race.
The race is set for Sunday, August 23rd, but Early Bird registration rates expire tomorrow, so if you want to save some bones on entry register online at onlineregistrations.ca.
Have a great Monday
I’m Fred Wallace
