That was the word from Ryan Greig pertaining to the Ontario Broomball Championships that were staged in Owen Sound over the weekend.
” Amazing “, was another word that was peppered throughout the conversation.
I have to take Ryan’s word for it, since I missed the entire affair due to Attack & Penguins duties, but since he’s been to countless Broomball Provincials, you have to respect his viewpoint.
I do admit there are others who have told me there were 2 possible upgrades.
Mostly, had a local team made one of the finals, that would have boosted the event to the stratosphere.
And secondly, with the throng of people on hand, more parking space and one less city bylaw officer would have been a bonus.
But overall, the organizers are overjoyed at the success of the first Provincial Broomball Championship tournament here in 2 decades
Plus, they’re quite excited about the potential that an Owen Sound based bid for the 2016 National Broomball Championship Tournament may be the only bid on the table.
