The Ontario Broomball Championships opened this morning at both the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre & at the Julie McArthur Regional Rec Centre.
I truly hope this event is well supported as there could be a bigger event from a national perspective in short order coming our way.
The Attack are at Guelph tonight in what could be a first round playoff matchup.
I said that two weeks ago, who knows what I’ll be saying in 2 weeks times.
Also on the go this weekend, Full Throttle Motor Speedway is hosting the ” Sprint Into Spring-Enduro ”
The format is a ” Run What You Brung ” concept which encourages drivers to bring their car & equipment in an attempt to win the Grand Prize of a new $ 35,000 race car package.
On a variety of levels, especially weather-wise, this is a risky promotion, but Full Throttle may hit the jackpot with this initiative, and may have already done so with a projected field of close to 100 drivers lined up for tomorrow’s Sprint Into Spring.
By the way, admission to the event is free, but food bank donations will be gratefully accepted.
