Hi, this is Fred Wallace with Off the Wire, brought to you by Auto Logic- the Logical Choice.
I went to the movies one night in 1983 and saw the Tom Cruise high school flick, ” All The Right Moves “.
Great movie.
In the sporting climax, the Ampipe Bulldogs have stalled the powerhouse Walnut Heights Knights on a goal line stand and have possession of the ball with only seconds to go.
In a stunning swerve, Quarterback Rifleman hands off to Vinnie Salvucci in the pouring rain, & the slick conditions cause Salvucci to fumble in the end zone, and Walnut Heights recovers for the winning score.
Of course that was Hollywood.
The sequence that unfolded Sunday, more than 30 years later at the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Super Bowl was reality.
Facing 2nd and goal with time ticking down, all the Seattle Seahawks had to do was punch it in to virtually guarantee the victory.
The Seahawks quarterback is a swift runner, highly capable of doing the job.
The Seahawks running back is a bulldozer, seemingly unstoppable in short yardage.
So what do they do……………? They PASS !!!
Interception, brief rumble, game over.
The Patriots are the 2015 Super Bowl Champions.
The Seahawks should have won it…..if they made All The Right Moves.
I’m Fred Wallace
