Everybody is going everywhere these days.
As an example, a decent sized group of Special Olympians from our region will be heading off to North Bay today for the Ontario Winter Games.
There are curlers, plus skiers of every description from our area who will compete over the course of Friday & Saturday.
Mathew Post will compete in Alpine Skiing while Jonathon Wardrop is in the Nordic competition.
The remainder of the group; Amy Gilchrist, Gary Nuhn, Dwayne Pountney, Bob Ashbury & Casey Smutylo will compete in curling.
Good luck.
Meanwhile, a lot closer to home, there’s Greater Metro Junior Hockey League action tonight & tomorrow.
In Meaford, the puzzling Knights who lose when you think they’ll win, and win when you think they’ll lose, play host to North York tonight.
I think the Knights will beat the Renegades tonight. Game time 7:30.
Meanwhile, the Grey Highlands Bravehearts who are battling for a Top 5 spot in the North Conference, will host South Muskoka tomorrow night at 8 in Markdale.
I’m Fred Wallace
