Tonight is the most pivotal night of the curling season in the Ackert-Solomon Insurance Grey Bruce Major League
Four games in Chesley starting at 8 pm. 3 more games in Kincardine commencing at 9 pm.
At this point of the season, there’s a lot on the line and the results tonight will determine in many cases who goes where and who doesn’t go anywhere.
The biggest matchup is in Chesley as Al Hutchinson from Blue water meets Jeff Thomson playing on home ice.
Hutchinson leads the standings at 8 & 1. Thomson sits at 7 & 1.
Also at Chesley tonight; Steve Gregg at 6 wins meets Dave Cobean who needs the victory to get back .500 plus Scott Ballantyne faces Tom Slumskie- both rinks are 5 & 5
Wade Walsh could also wreck things for Don Shane’s rink with a win tonight at Chesley.
In Kincardine, the big matchup is Don Bartley against Craig Milburn with both teams looking to strengthen their grip on a playoff spot.
The other two matches have Adam Schumacher against Joe Rettiinger & Curtis Cassidy facing Les Shane with all 4 of those rinks desperately needing the W this evening to enhance their playoff chances.
Two curling clubs, 7 games, one big night of action with lots of potential swerves and curves. It’s like the schedule maker knew tonight would be pivotal and as such had the matchups laid out perfectly
