There’s hockey on a bunch fronts in the region today, tomorrow & through the weekend.
We told you yesterday about the Regional Silver Stick this weekend in Owen Sound..
While the tournament rages, the Owen Sound Attack will open a 3 game sequence in the Ontario Hockey League tonight at Windsor against the Spitfires.
Tomorrow, the Attack are at Plymouth to meet the Whalers
And then Saturday, a return date with the Spitfires in Owen Sound.
Great schedule, but we’ve done that to death, right ?
The Attack go against the 9th and 10th place teams in the Western Conference in these three games, but let’s not kid ourselves.
Owen Sound is essentially minus a full forward line due to injuries, plus the gap between the Attack & last place is just 9 points at the moment, so this is a big swing weekend.
Meanwhile in Meaford tonight, the Knights host the Rama Aces at 7:30 pm.
Tonight is ” Recycle Your Cycle ” Night, a joint project of the Meaford Lions & the Knights, so everybody with an unneeded bicycle is invited to bring their crate to the rink, leave it for the Lions and then see the game for free.
And tomorrow night in Markdale, the Bravehearts will host the Knights in an 8 pm start.
The Bravehearts have partnered with the Canadian Cancer Society and the game tomorrow is ” Pink in the Rink “
The Knights & Bravehearts had a great game last Thursday on Pink in the Rink, I’m sure tomorrow’s game will be equally great.
I’m Fred Wallace
