It’s ” Scarecrow Hockey Night in Meaford ” tonight.
The Knights of Meaford are hosting the Parry Sound Islanders this evening in a Greater Metro Junior Hockey League game.
The contest is set for 7:30 pm at the Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre
The Scarecrow organizing committee who have done a terrific job again of bringing the community to colourful life, is requesting the crowd participate in 3 ways:
– wear straw hats
– bring a donation for the foodbank (Golden Town Outreach).
& come prepared to cheer wildly
Additionally, the Meaford Marching Scarecrow Kazoo Band will be distributing 200 kazoos this evening,
In fairness, does the crowd have a request for the Knights ?
I’d think so.
At 0 & 2 with back to back losses on home ice to Alliston & Grey Highlands, the Knights need a taste of winning.
They haven’t been blown out by any means, but home in any league, is a bastion and points need to be garnered, starting tonight against the Parry Sound Islanders.
