However, to be safe, they shuffled the scheduled season opener against Tottenham to November.
The season for the Knights instead will begin Sunday night when they host the Alliston Coyotes.
Like any Junior Hockey organization, there is a transition and alterations from year to year.
And while it’s expected a good portion of the players will be different from year to year, the biggest alteration for the Knights from their expansion season is at the management level;
New owners. New General Manager. New Head Coach.
From my standpoint, Season number 1 for the Knights had many successes, in fact, among the few drawbacks was their record on home ice where they consistently lost key matchups from November onward.
I don’t know that a new look team with a brand new brass automatically cures the curse of home ice losses, but the Knights of Meaford will start down that road Sunday night when they host Alliston
