I know there’s a bunch of summer activities on the go this weekend, from the Bluewater Fastball Tournament to the Full Throttle Motor Speedway card tonight to the Sire Stakes at Hanover Raceway tomorrow night and more.
But I want to talk hockey; because there’s a lot of hockey this weekend.
The Kincardine Bulldogs are hosting their 3rd annual Junior C Exhibition Day tomorrow at the Davidson Centre.
The Bulldogs along with the Wingham Ironmen, Exeter Hawks and Stayner Siskins will each play twice on the day with the first games set for 12 noon Saturday.
The regular season for the Western Junior C League begins next Friday.
To go one better, the Greater Metro Junior Hockey League opens tonight with a game at Temiscaming.
The Knights of Meaford open September 14th and the new Grey Highlands Bravehearts open against the Knights September 18th.
The Owen Sound Attack conclude their Ontario Hockey League pre-season this weekend, hosting North Bay tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the JD McArthur Arena and then visiting the Bay Sunday night
And Owen Sound Minor Hockey Group has announced the details of the annual Early Bird Tournament set for September 19th-21st at all 3 ice surfaces in the city.
