You can’t be everywhere.
Sometimes that’s a good thing, sometimes it’s not so good.
I had a great chat with Bev Boswell of the Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation last week.
On Saturday August 23rd, BPHS will be staging the ” Walk to Create Possibilities ”
This 30 kilometre fundraising trek will begin at the Lion’s Head Hospital at 9 am that morning and walkers will make their way to the Wiarton Hospital.
To enter, for more information on the activity, contact the Bruce Peninsula Health Services Foundation Office at 519-534-5856.
As an honourary chair for The Hospital Campaign, Bev wondered if I would m.c. the affair, which sounded great, except that the walkers aren’t scheduled to arrive til 5 pm that day in Wiarton & I’m committed to Hanover Raceway that night.
So, since your feet can only be in one place at one time, unfortunately I’m going to miss the August 23rd ” Walk to Create Possibilities ”
But, that might also be somewhat of a good thing.
Checking the calendar, I see I’m scheduled to go in the half marathon the following day at the 5th annual Bayshore Race
Proceeds from that function will be directed to acquiring diagnostic and medical equipment for cancer and heart care in Grey-Bruce with a $40,000 fundraising target.
For more information on the Bayshore Race, contact Greg Nicol at 519-477-1207.
You can’t be everywhere. And I wonder, even if you could be in two places at once, could I handle a 30 kilometre walk on the Saturday & a 21 K walk the following day ?
I’m not sure
I’m Fred Wallace
