Hey, I fell a LOT better today….thanks for asking.
Sure, today is a travel day for this incredible junket to the islands and while travel is always an ordeal, I know I’ll skip easily from Toronto to Chicago to Honolulu in no time.
I’ll be honest, I’m going to miss being around the opening round of the OHL Playoffs.
Over 25 years, the Platers and Attack have had some beauties in the first round.
The very first opening round series in 1990 against Sudbury was a 7 game epic that ended on Jeff Perry’s dump in from centre that fooled David Goverade and stunned the Sudbury crowd who though the Wolves had scored twice before the Perry series clincher.
Of course in the 2004 opening round series, the Attack and Guelph also went 7, highlighted by another long dump shot by Mike Angelidis in Game 6 that rocked the Bayshore and sent the clubs back to the Sleeman Centre for Game 7, eventually won by the more experienced Storm.
So what does this year’s first round series hold in store for the Owen Sound squad ?
I’m not sure.
Did I mention I’ll be in Hawaii tomorrow and taking a tour at Pearl Harbour……?
Hey, you have a good day and enjoy the OHL playoffs.
I’m Fred Wallace
