What day is it…?
Wednesday, right ?
Actually it doesn’t matter, certainly not to the Knights of Meaford who regardless of the day of the week, know they have a game that day.
In what is the most staggering sequence of scheduling I’ve ever seen, the Knights will open their Greater Metro Junior A Playoff series tonight at Bradford against the Bulls.
On its own, that’s not noteworthy, but this playoff opener is sandwiched between what is a stretch of 7 games…….in EIGHT DAYS !!
Let’s recap……………….
Last Thursday, the Knights beat the Mattawa Voyageurs 5-4 in a shootout in Meaford
The following night in Gravenhurst, they lost 12-2 to the Muskoka Shield
Saturday was a rare day of rest for Meaford.
Sunday night @ Bradford, the Knights concluded the regular season with an 11-0 loss to the Rattlers
Then came the playoffs….
Monday afternoon, they outscored Shelburne 16-7 to stay alive
Last night, in Elimination Game # 2 they scored 6 power play goals to eliminate the Toronto Predators 9-4
Today is Wednesday, right ?
The Knights open their best of 5 series at Bradford against the Bulls
Game 2, incredibly, is tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Castle of Pain.
Friday is a day of rest and then Game 3 is right back in Meaford on Saturday night at 7:30
And should the series get extended, the 4th game in the Knights-Bulls series would be Sunday.
And why not ? You don’t want to waste a day if you’re the Knights of Meaford
