The Knights of Meaford snapped a 5 game losing streak by shading the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks 6-5 last night at the Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre.
Zach Newman & Jordan Rear both scored twice in the victory.
The Knights are in the middle of a stretch of 4 games in 5 days, having played Wednesday at Orangeville, last night at home to the Lumberjacks & tonight in Lefroy.
After a day off Saturday, the Knights are back on home ice Sunday afternoon when they face the league contending Seguin Huskies
The Knights of Meaford remind you that Sunday afternoon’s game is a 3 pm start and is part of their ongoing ” Take The Bite Out Of Hunger ” campaign.
Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the game Sunday and drop it in the Grandma Lambe’s bin.
The Owen Sound Attack, like the Knights, are on the road tonight too, in Kitchener to meet the Rangers at the Auditorium for the third time in the last 5 Fridays !!
Then the Attack come for 4 straight, commencing tomorrow night against Garrett McFadden & the Guelph Storm.
Like the Knights, the Attack are involved in a Food Bank Drive with the Investors Group.
Plus on Sunday, it’s Grey Motors Toonies & Toys Day when they Attack host Windsor, fans are asked to bring either a cash donation, or an unwrapped toy to the game, plus following the game, you can skate with the Attack courtesy of Bell.
