In radio we often use the phrase, ” repetition sells “.
That is, the more persistent the message, the more frequent the airings, the more likely the client is to sell the product.
” Repetition Sells ” is an off-shoot of ” practice makes perfect ” and to that end we apply it today to the Bluewater Elementary Cross Country meets that go this week.
The Bluewater West Meet is tomorrow at Saugeen Bluffs near Paisley while the Bluewater East Meet follows at Land Forces Central Area Training Centre near Meaford on Thursday.
If bookmakers were allowed at this sort of competition, you could bet the overwhelming favorites to win any of the divisions would be club athletes.
In the West, I’ll bet the majority of winners are from the Saugeen Track & Field Club.
In the east, would it be surprising to see members of the Meaford Coyotes dominate the winner’s circle ?
Not really.
Being a club athlete for Saugeen or the Coyotes doesn’t guarantee victory, but it does represent preparation, it represents experience and it represents significant training on courses similar to those at Paisley & Meaford.
Repetition sells and what I’m selling today is that club athletes should dominate at Saugeen Bluffs and on the Land Forces course this week in Bluewater Elementary Cross Country
