The Fall is here and for the avid golfer it’s a season of hit & miss.
Virtually every round under consideration will be answered “yes ” or ” no ” by the forecast.
Sure, there’s some guys who are so hooked, they’ll play on like mailmen through any kind of conditions.
The 2013 golf season ended Sunday at Northern Dunes in Hepworth for the Golf Fore Green Tour.
This new concept under the direction of Fred Clendenning, operated a 9 hole tour, primarily on Thursdays, and an 18 hole tour, primarily on Sundays throughout Grey & Bruce.
The Golf Fore Green Tour rotated courses on a weekly basis throughout the Spring and Summer in an attempt to establish and grow a viable semi-competitive activity.
While they got established, I think it’s fair to say the number of participants were underwhelming.
Having said that, the participation results haven’t discouraged Clendenning from planning for a bigger and better 2014.
Fred Clendenning won’t say for the record what’s ahead, but the planning stages have been virtually completed and the formalization of those plans will be the next significant announcement for the Golf Fore Green Tour.
