Softball Canada released the schedule for the Canadian Junior Men’s Fastball Championship Tournament last week.
The 9 team tournament hosted by the Keady Jets will commence in 2 weeks time at Duncan McLellan Park.
Ontario has 4 teams entered. Along with the Jets, Ontario will also be represented by the Napanee Express, the Stratford Cubs and the Ontario Elimination Tournament champion, Wiarton Red Devils.
With a 9 team tourney, Softball Canada was able to construct a true round robin where everybody plays everybody once.
In terms of the scheduling, everybody plays twice a day and in almost every case, the Jets second game of the day will be the early evening game while the Red Devils second game of the day, generally will be the nightcap for the the day’s activities.
The Irma Tigers, Calahoo Chiefs, Saskatoon Bullets & Diamondbacks plus Kelly’s Pub representing Newfoundland & Labrador will also compete.
