Quite a run of lacrosse events of late, highlighted by the youngest players as exemplified over the weekend at the annual Harry Kazarian Memorial Minor Lacrosse Tournament.
Still with lacrosse, I had a nice chat with former Dutchmen & Woodsmen Troy Bonterre recently.
Bonterre is enlisting the aid of some prominent connections to conduct the Pro Performance Lacrosse Camp at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
The Camp which has been in Bonterre’s head for quite some time, will be staged July 8th to the 12th and is designed for players 7-10 years of age and for players aged 11 to 14.
Bonterre was a natural athlete who came to lacrosse relatively late, but was a good enough athlete to compensate for lack of experience and managed to succeed at the NLL level.
Learning as he went, he’s intent on bringing his found knowledge, insight and tricks of the sport back to the city and region with the camp.

The registration deadline is Monday.
