It’s a huge weekend for lacrosse
We mentioned yesterday that the annual Harry Kazarian Memorial Minor Lacrosse Tournament begins tomorrow at 5 venues in the region and runs through the weekend with the Championship Games Sunday at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
In Senior lacrosse, the Quantum Properties NorthStars are at Oakville tomorrow to face the Titans in their lone game this weekend.
And the Junior B Garb & Gear NorthStars have 2 home games; tonight against Elora at 8 pm and then Saturday night against the Wallaceburg Red Devils at 8:30 pm
As part of the game Saturday night, the NorthStars will stage another celebration of the 40th year of Junior lacrosse in the city when they introduce the 1973 & 1974 Owen Sound Satellites Junior C alumni
The alumni will be spending the day at Williams Lake before heading the Junior game and there will be plenty of good memories and foggy memories recounted.
The Satellites through the Forsythes, through the Signmen, through the Flying Dutchmen, through the Rams to the Junior NorthStars today- 40 years of lacrosse in Owen Sound rolled into one weekend.
