Without getting into the politics involved, it’s fair to say that this has been the bleakest season for Bluewater Sports in years; maybe in decades.
Politics aside, the Grey Bruce Association of Basketball Officials along with Walkerton District Community School will hosting the Bluewater Girls Basketball All-Star Games tonight.
SBP Custom Embroidery and Benedict Electrical Contracting are the presenting partners of tonight’s doubleheader at Walkerton District which will pit the North against the South in both the Junior Girls and Senior Girls showcase games
The Junior Girls hit the court first at 6 pm with the Senior Girls All Star Game to follow at 8 pm
As part of the activities in both games, there will be a three point and 2-ball contest at half time.
Admission for the night is $2 with proceeds being directed to the Jordan Fawcett Memorial Scholarship.
Overall, players from 8 different schools in Bluewater will compete in the Girls Basketball All Star games tonight at Walkerton.
What’s ahead for Boys Basketball, and other Bluewater Winter sports, remains to be seen.
