Did everyone enjoy the weekend ?
How could you not ?
The weather was excellent, golf courses were open, Santa Claus came to town and the Owen Sound Attack won twice by shutout.
While you may have enjoyed Saturday & Sunday, I’m assuming the two victories by the Attack were highly satisfying,
First, Owen Sound administered a whitewashing on Kitchener, essentially scoring a 40 minute TKO.
Then the following afternoon, in what is evolving as a spirited rivalry, the Attack did it again, shutting out Windsor.
No question Jordan Binnington had a great weekend, establishing club records, being named OHL Player of the Week etc.
But Binnington would be among the first to credit teammates for working hard in every zone and blocking shots when danger threatened.
It feels good, doesn’t it ?…………………………………………….
And now it’s over. And I mean OVER.
Tomorrow the Eastern Conference leading Barrie Colts come to town.
Then Saturday, the London Knights who are currently on an 8 game win streak are in Owen Sound.
Last weekend was nice. But for the Owen Sound Attack, it’s gotta be loooong forgotten with Colts then Knights on the horizon.
I’m Fred Wallace
