The 2012 Ontario Men’s Midamateur Golf Championship will be staged next week at Cobble Beach Golf Links in Georgian Bluffs.
The Midamateur is designed for players who are age 25+ and it will be interesting to see who conquers who.
First, the field is packed with gifted young players, but also a variety of experienced players from the elite in provincial golf.
And young or older, how will the talented players handle the Links at Cobble, IF the winds are up ?
The reputation at Cobble Beach is one of forgiving spaces, but on the greens, a player has to be precise and accurate to score well.
There’s no doubt Cobble Beach will gain a lot from this, potentially becoming a home for other Ontario Golf Championships, highlighted by the gorgeous vista over Owen Sound bay.
If you play Cobble Beach, you want to live at Cobble Beach.
The organizers are looking for volunteers to assist, for part of a day, a day or for all 3 days.
