The 2012 Curling season is in full swing with a variety of competitions at every level.
Yesterday we were spotlighting Allison McLeod of Tara who’s competing at the Ontario-Scotties Tournament of Heart this week in Kenora.
A little closer to home, the Chesley-Tara Insurance Major Curling League commences their playoff matches tomorrow night at the Kincardine Curling Club
The first round playoff matchups are as follows;
Regular season champion Jeff Thomson of Chesley goes against the Wade Walsh rink from Blue Water who qualified last week in a sudden death qualifier
The Al Hutchinson rink, coming off the Region 3 Intermediates at Markdale, goes against the defending champions skipped by Curtis Cassidy.
Steve Gregg of Paisley who finished 3rd in the regular season meets # 6 Tom Slumskie from Tara.
And in the final first round matchup, Kincardine’s Les Shane takes on Don Bartley of Owen Sound.
The winners advance down the championship flyte which continues February 1st at Blue Water and then the league hits their climax on February 8th with the finals at the Port Elgin Curling Club.
Game times for round 1 of the Chesley-Tara Insurance Major Curling League playoffs at Kincardine tomorrow night is 9 pm
