Today is a day of departure.
The St Mary’s Lady Mustangs Rugby squad will be embarking on a lengthy journey that will see them arrive in Ireland tomorrow and spend the next week and a half touring & playing rugby against Irish opponents.
The Lady Mustangs have conducted a trip like this previously, but with the ever changing flow of the high school population, this will be a first-time experience for almost everyone involved and you can imagine the level of excitement that’s been building as the journey approached.
Having said that, there’s a part of me that believes the Lady Mustangs trip will be tiny in comparison to the junket the Owen Sound Attack face, yet again, this week.
Tonight, at Barrie to meet the Colts for the final time on the regular season.
Off to London immediately following the game this evening at Barrie in order to meet the Knights tomorrow night at the Budweiser Gardens.
And then directly home to prepare to meet the Knights again on Saturday night at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
It’s a day of departure for the St Mary’s Lady Mustangs Rugby team & the Owen Sound Attack & I wonder today, which group will have the longer journey ?
