It’s an exceptionally busy and exciting time in Bluewater Sports as the Fall sports term approaches its climax.
Among the highlight events will be the Bluewater Football Championship Friday in Port Elgin as the Saugeen District Royals host the St Mary’s Mustangs
The Bluewater Boys Volleyball Champions are being crowned this week with the Senior Championship being won yesterday by the Kincardine Knights at Georgian Bay Secondary School in Meaford, while the Bluewater Junior Boys Championship is being staged today at Saugeen District in Port Elgin.
And Girls Basketball has a prominent spot as well, this week and this month.
The Bluewater South Girls playoffs were yesterday with the 4 winners advancing to the Bluewater Championship matches coming up Thursday at the OSCVI
Plus later in the month, the OSCVI will be the host site for the Bluewater Girls Basketball All Star Games.
The All Star matches, which are being conducted by the officials association, will have both a Senior Girls & a Junior Girls game on Sunday November 27th with each game featuring a skills competition at half time.
A similar event last year for boys was highly successful from every regard, including raising both cash and items for a food bank in the region.
Junior Boys Volleyball Championship today, Girls basketball Championship Thursday & the Football Final is Friday.
