The days just keep getting busier and more eventful, here and far beyond.
Three more medals for Canada yesterday at the Olympic Games in Britain, with podium efforts in kayaking, canoe racing & women’s wrestling.
Who knows who can do what for the country in the few days remaining at the Games.
Meanwhile, it’s a pivotal day at the 2012 Canadian Junior Men’s Fastball Championship at Duncan McLellan Park.
There are 13 games today on the final day of the round robin, all of which will determine final standings, most of which are key head to head meetings.
Looking at the sked, there’s an all Saskatoon meeting in the morning, the tournament leaders, Owen Sound Brick Brothers Volkswagen, meet contenders Irma, Alberta & Kelly’s Pub from Newfoundland and then in the preliminary finale, the Wiarton Red Devils go against the Walkerton Wild tonight at 9
The Red Devils at 3 & 3 have 2 very tough games today.
Meanwhile……
Last night, Sauble Speedway staged their major Dash for Cash event with racing legend Kenny Wallace.
Scott McTeer won the race while Wallace finished 8th overall.
Hanover Raceway has another card of harness racing tonight starting at 7:15 pm.
Plus as we head towards the weekend, we don’t want to overlook the Quantum Properties NorthStars.
The NorthStars trail the St Catharines Saints 2-0 in the Ontario Senior Lacrosse Final, losing game 2 in a staggering fashion.
Game 3 goes Saturday in St Catharines with Game 4 back at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore on Saturday night.
It will be interesting to see whether the play that decided game 2 will cripple Owen Sound or whether Quantum Properties will regroup, and use it as motivation as they attempt to square the series by Sunday night
