The waiting continues, for at least one more night, for the Owen Sound Quantum Properties Woodsmen & for the Ontario Senior Lacrosse League in general.
Tonight in Brooklin, the Merchants host the Wellington-Dufferin Titans in the third & deciding game of the O.L.A. Senior quarterfinals.
The Titans won the opener 10-5 on Friday.
The Merchants bounced back on Sunday to win 12-10 to square the series.
The result tonight will establish the semifinal matchups in Senior Lacrosse.
If Brooklin wins at home tonight, they advance to the Final 4 and will meet the Owen Sound Quantum Properties Woodsmen who have been sitting idle for 9 days & counting.
However, if the Titans win on the road tonight at Brooklin, then Wellington-Dufferin would advance and meet the regular season champion Norwood Champs in the second round while the Woodies would be paired with the St Catharines Saints
St Catharines swept their series with Huntsville in 2 straight.
Tomorrow we’ll know the matchups for sure.
One other lacrosse note, the Junior B Conference Finals begin this week.
In the West, the Six Nations Rebels face the Elora Mohawks.
In the East, the Halton Hills Bulldogs face the Green Gaels.
Both series commence later this week.
I’m Fred Wallace
