This is the March Break.
So many things to do, if you’re lucky enough to have the time off, or the resources to go somewhere special.
The St Mary’s Lady Mustangs Rugby Team will be spending the week in Ireland participating in an international sporting exchange.
A couple of years ago, the Lady Mustangs went to England on a similar rugby junket and had such a remarkably good time, the planning for this trip commenced almost immediately.
Over the course of the week, St Mary’s is scheduled to play in 3 different communities.
Tomorrow, they’ll be in Dublin, then Thursday at Galway to face the Westport Rugby Club and then conclude their matches on Sunday when they face the Shannon Rugby Football Club at Limerick
The Lady Mustangs have no visions of grandeur here, knowing their Irish counterparts are far more experienced and schooled in the sport.
But the learning process, especially how fast the Irish school girls can move the ball will be a terrific sporting educational process and certainly assist the Lady Mustangs when they return home for Bluewater Girls Rugby this Spring.
Have a great March Break
I’m Fred Wallace
