What follows may offend some people.
And it’s never my intention to offend nor alienate, especially on a sweet day like Valentine’s Day.
I simply am using the tools available to give an historical perspective as it pertains to the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL.
Last week, as you know, Phil Kessel touched off a media storm, indicating ” things aren’t working out in Toronto ” for him which created a side sided media fiasco that dragged the star, the coach, Ron Wilson, and the General Manager, Brian Burke, into the never ending chaos.
But this is nothing new.
What follows is a brief snippet from a Leaf post game interview conducted by Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun with Leaf coach John Brophy who was in a remarkably similar chaotic state with star Russ Courtnall and General Manager Gerry McNamara.
After a lopsided loss in Minnesota, what follows is Brophy’s reaction to his young players.

That was almost 25 years ago.
Has there been any change.
Again, I apologize if the clip offended.
Happy Valentine’s Day
