Busy weekend in front of us.
Bayshore Broadcasting reporter Jonathon Jackson has his book launch for ” The Making of Slap Shot ” at the Ginger Press Book Store tomorrow afternoon.
The 6th Annual Ladies Volleyball Tournament for Breast Cancer is Saturday at West Hill Secondary School in Owen Sound.
The annual YMCA Autumn Colors Run is Sunday
& The Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies will be hosted at the Blue Mountain Golf & Country Club tomorrow night
Athletes Tom Colley, Chris Stoutenburg & Earl Wilson plus the 2008 CCI Senior Football Team Team will be inducted.
Meanwhile, the Owen Sound Attack could make a little history tonight and potentially again tomorrow night when they meet the Sarnia Sting.
The Attack have won 9 in a row, 1 shy of the Plater & Attack record of 10 straight, established by John Lovell’s Platers in 1996 and then matched 8 years later by Mike Stothers record setting club.
A win tonight at Sarnia ties the mark, and if they score the win this evening, Owen Sound would have a chance to establish a new franchise record Saturday night at home in the rematch against the Sting.
Busy weekend.
I’m Fred Wallace
