Tomorrow is a very big day for 2 of the Owen Sound High Schools.
West Hill Secondary & OSCVI have scheduled a sequence of Thanksgiving Weekend-Homecoming games in both Girls Basketball & in Bluewater Football.
The Football matchup was the original event, starting two years ago and it’s enjoying a growth spurt.
The concept is to not only facilitate and perpetuate a healthy long standing rivalry between the two schools, but also reach out to the community and encourage alumni and sports fans of all descriptions to take in a rare evening football game.
Sensing the growth, the Girls Basketball programs at the two schools have also jumped on board, making tomorrow a very active and full day.
The West Hill Lady Raiders will host the OSCVI Falcons tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 pm in Senior Girls Basketball to launch the proceedings.
At 4 pm, the Junior Lady Raiders hit the court at West Hill to meet OSCVI
The scene then shifts outdoors at West Hill as the Junior Football programs at the two schools will hit the field at 6 pm.
Then an hour later, the Bluewater Football meeting between the Raiders & Falcons will be staged.
It’s a full day of high school sports at West Hill, a day of activities the participants of the two schools hope the student body and the city population at large support.
I’m Fred Wallace
