Who knew that Canada would be more suited for hosting the Summer Olympics, rather than the Winter Games ?
Rain in the forecast and a lack of snow in Vancouver creates reality of a lengthy nightmare, the kind of bad dream that has existed, I’m sure, for the chief organizers from the get-go.
What if it doesn’t snow ? What if it rains ?
Those are natural worries, things you can’t control, and the weather has apparently pulled a cruel trick on Vancouver as the Opening Ceremonies begin today.
And who knew just 4 weeks ago when the Attack beat the Storm in Guelph, that a 9 point cushion for Owen Sound would essentially evaporate ?
Tonight the Attack are at London to conclude a home & home with the Knights who they have not beaten in 4 tries while Guelph will host Sarnia, losers of 15 straight.
All of which makes the game tomorrow night in Owen Sound far more significant than anyone would have imagined 4 weeks ago.
Who knew ?
I’m Fred Wallace
