The Ontario Hockey League season begins tonight with 2 games in the Western Conference.
In Saginaw, the Spirit host the Erie Otters.
And in Owen Sound…..the Attack entertain the Kitchener Rangers at 7 pm in the opener of a home & home series to launch the season.
A divisional head to head, home & home, starting tonight with a large contingent of Ranger fans expected to be in the building, followed by the rematch 2 nights later in Kitchener.
That’s a marquee worthy start to the season.
And while the season starts with a bang, there’s still a number of areas that are unknown from an Attack standpoint…..
The roster number is sky-high. Is there a trade coming ?
Are there outright cuts coming ?
Who will start in goal tonight ?
The team will start the season with 3 goalies. For how long ?
Star defender Chris Bigras is back ? Is he 100 percent recovered ?
Have the core of second year defenders made significant progress ?
Who scores for this team ?
A lot of questions, with some immediate answers just ahead as the Attack open the season against Kitchener tonight at 7 at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre
I’m Fred Wallace
