It is a week of High School Sports Championships in Bluewater & in Simcoe County.
Already this week, the Kincardine District Knights won the Bluewater Senior Boys Volleyball Title while the Georgian Bay Vikings won the Junior Boys Volleyball Championship.
In the Senior Tournament at OSCVI, the Knights needed 4 games to dispatch the St Mary’s Mustangs.
Meanwhile at Saugeen District the following day, the Junior Vikings swept OSCVI for the Junior title.
On the go today, the CWOSSA Junior Boys Qualifiers for ” A ” & “AA ” schools will be staged.
Yesterday in Senior, the OSCVI Falcons advanced to the CWOSSA ” AA ” Tournament and the Chesley Cougars won the ” A ” Qualifier.
In Girls Basketball, the Final 4 for both Seniors & Juniors is being staged at West Hill Secondary School in Owen Sound today.
The Junior semifinals pit OSCVI against Sacred Heart & then Grey Highlands against Kincardine.
In the Senior semifinals, the West Hill Lady Raiders face Sacred Heart & then OSCVI takes on Kincardine.
The Bluewater Girls Basketball Finals are set for late afternoon at WHSS
And in football, the CWOSSA semifinal is tonight at Brantford as the Saugeen District Royals attempt to advance to the CWOSSA Championship.
Game time for the Royals & Brantford is 6 pm tonight with the winner advancing to face the Guelph Champions in the CWOSSA Final.
And looking ahead to Saturday afternoon, the Collingwood Collegiate Fighting Owls will host Barrie North at 1 pm for the Georgian Bay Football Championship.
Pretty eventful.
