UPDATE: The store re-opened around noon today (Wednesday)

A statement from the Walmart Supercentre in Midland which is currently closed due to concerns about coronavirus.
Rob Nicol, Walmart’s VP of Corporate Affairs, provided the following to us via email.
“We are working with public health officials to confirm whether an associate from our Midland store has tested positive for COVID-19. We are in touch with them and providing support to them and the store’s associates.”
“In the meantime, given the serious nature of the incident, and on the advice of public health authorities, we have taken precautionary measures including a deep cleaning of the store. We will be working very closely with local public health authorities and hope to be able to reopen the store shortly.”
Contacted today, the Health Unit says there’s no confirmation of a case there.
Any announcement will come from Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health.
