TFC-DC Take 3
Toronto FC & DC United will try for a third time to play their opener in the MLS Is Back Tournament

Their scheduled match yesterday was postponed after COVID-19 testing Saturday had returned a positive test for a D.C. United player and an inconclusive test for a Toronto player.
Toronto & DC were supposed to meet Friday night but that game was pushed back to Sunday due to Toronto's late arrival at the tournament because of the need for additional COVID-19 testing

Change In Washington
Washington’s National Football League team will cease to be known as the ” Redskins ” as of today according to multiple reports.
Owner Dan Snyder is expected to announce the moniker will be ” retired “
The team launched a review of the name in ear;y July in the aftermath of prominent sponsors asking the team to change the name.
Over a dozen Native American leaders and organizations wrote to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell last week demanding an immediate end to Washington’s use of the name.
A new moniker for the franchise will not be revealed today because trademark issues are pending.
It's believed the franchise will continue to use burgundy and gold as the team colors but there would not be any use of Native American imagery.
COVID-19 Strikes Canadiens
At least 3 members of the Montreal Canadiens have tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports.
The report comes after defenceman Karl Alzner opted out of the NHL’s Return to Play and on the same day that the team announced forward Max Domi will wait before deciding if he will join his teammates at training camp.
Domi has Type 1 diabetes, and both parties have agreed on the waiting period before deciding on whether he'll return in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The season is scheduled to restart August 1st in Toronto and Edmonton.
